John Hajek

Prof. John Hajek

Professor of Linguistics

John Hajek is Head of the School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne where he is also Professor of Italian, and Director of the Research Unit for Multilingualism and Cross-cultural Communication (RUMACCC). He has a broad range of research interests and has published widely across different areas of linguistics and applied linguistics, including multilingualism, language description and language education.

Mirose Paia

Dr. Mirose Paia

Mirose Paia is a Senior Lecturer in Polynesian Languages, Literatures and Civilisations at the University of French Polynesia. A specialist in reo tahiti, she is committed to sustaining the language through teaching, teacher training, and academic research. Her work focuses primarily on language revitalisation, linguistic policies, and the didactics of Polynesian languages.

Research Interests: Indigenous language preservation, educational linguistics
